A Letter from Our Community

In every town across Central Vermont, Career Center alumni are already shaping our future.

Carpenters. Nurses. Plumbers. Electricians. Child Care Specialists. Mechanics.

On Tuesday Nov 4, a YES vote for the Central Vermont Career Center provides a critical opportunity for our young people to succeed right here in Vermont.

Every year, more than 150 students are turned away from the Central Vermont Career Center simply because there isn’t enough space.

The VT Department of Labor states these are the people needed to replace a rapidly aging and retiring skilled tradesperson work force.

The current building is beyond capacity. Many programs operate in areas that no longer meet state standards or the technological needs of today’s learners.

A modern facility in Graniteville would change that; doubling capacity, expanding programs, and giving both students and adults the chance to learn, work, and build their futures right here in Vermont.

From health care to construction, auto mechanics to childcare, demand is growing, and these are the career programs prioritized by our state education and labor agencies.

Together, let’s ensure that Vermont remains a place where our young people gain the skills they need to stay and thrive here.

Our region has always believed in the value of hard work and practical education. Supporting this bond is a smart, long-term investment in our students, our communities, and Vermont’s future.

One less student left on the waiting list means one more plumber, one more EMT, one more neighbor ready to serve our community.

On Tuesday November 4, eighteen towns can join together and invest in Vermont’s future workforce. Let’s vote YES for the Central Vermont Career Center bond.
